  I can resist everything but temptation so I nestled in here in the warm to savour decent hot chocolate. They have quite a range of hot chocolate drinks to choose from with or without cream on top but I just opted for the basic hot chocolate at £3.50.
  
  I could have gone across to the rip off Christmas market in City Hall and paid more money for a lower quality hot chocolate and stood in the damp cold to drink it.
  
  My drink was served almost hot in a ribbed cup with no handle. I wondered briefly why someone would choose to serve up a drink in a cup without a handle. Some daft beggar who likely thinks this adds to the sophistication or that it goes with the image of the brand.
  
  One thing is certain. The chocolate is really excellent and I've eaten and drunk quite a lot of it over the years, so they don't need naff cups.  
  
  I was in their chocolate by post club for a long time but bowed out as the chocolate choices had become repetitive, weight began to be reduced and prices rose.
  
  I have noticed too that years ago the staff offered a sample chocolate to most everybody who entered their stores but not now. Staff seem to restrict offering choccy only to those who first buy some goodies and even buying goodies doesn't guarantee a choccy.
  
  I have avoided buying coffee here as I think it's well overpriced. Funny enough there's not a great coffee smell either.
  
  They've also branched our to sell ice cream but again I think it's poor tasting and overpriced.

  First time in this Hotel Chocolat on 06/02/2018 and was extremely impressed. I specifically called in as I heard they offer a vegan hot chocolate and wondered if this particular branch stocked such. The lady who served me was fantastic (think her name was Fiona, as per my receipt). She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful showing me all the vegan dark chocolate slabs, sweets, hot chocolates drinks and other vegan items available. I opted for a packet of Rose & Violet Fondant Cremes and a large coconut-milk classic/dark hot chocolate. Great quality as the drink consisted of pure chocolate flakes spooned into the milk and heated. Definitely superior to powdered drinking chocolate. Seating is quite limited in this store but I obtained a small table and enjoyed my purchases. A great experience - excellent customer service, delicious high-quality chocolate and a large variety of items. It's a big thumbs up from me!

  Walked by when they were closed and saw some gorgeous looking chocolates in the window and a picture of hot chocolate and ice cream and knew we had to come back when the doors were open. Delicious hot chocolate and chocolate milk shake! We didn't purchase any chocolates as we just had a large brunch but the sample we were given was so good, we definitely have to go back for some!

  At long last, long overdue, here is a place which offers proper hot chocolate, not pumped up with ridiculous overdoses of sugar like the average coffee shop. It's all the better for that. They also have a fantastic range of eating chocolates.
